💃 How To Turn Off Stop Start On Skoda Octavia
Try turning the front roof lights to the off position (O) it may disable all roof lights including the rear as it does in my Superb iirc. A deeply discharged battery can often be rescued by recharging immediately with an external charger provided not too much time (days) have passed, and the battery was previously in fairly good condition. 2.
Stop-start traffic though, I disable it because it's really annoying and adds to the noise, reduce smoothness. But then, DSG gearbox is also less than ideal in stop-start traffic. Basically: Can't wait to switch to electric cars. ICE clutch based automatic cars suck for inner city driving.
Without veering too far off the original topic, the bit I find amusing where I live in Jersey, is that the government is striving through taxation and duties to encourage people to use lower emission vehicles, while at the same time making such a hash of their traffic management policies through their failure to control the volume of vehicles on the roads, poor road maintenance and
Start Stop on the DSG is fine at lights, but the worst design for the M25, and I really dont want to have to switch it on and off whilst sitting in traffic against sat at lights. my process is to put the car in neutral and hover on the break, and this doesnt activate start/stop, however if I put my foot on the break too hard then the car will stop.
From my manual for an MIB1 system (on earlier cars): In the Navigation main menu, press the button with the Flag icon, labelled "Route". The following menu is displayed: Stop route guidance - Stops route guidance. . The Flag/Route button is the one in the bottom left corner of the Nav screen. 2.
Hi Andy, your problem is most likely insufficient charge in battery - either from fading battery (especially if still original) or just needs a charge. The 'power consumption is high' message can translate to low battery volts - or something like AC, power-steering, etc. is actually drawing too much current to allow engine auto-stop to enable.
Problem was start/stop switch was intermittent, spraying with contact cleaner worked but not for long. The steering cowl is in two halves, drop steering wheel to lowest position and prize off top one by hand or aided with blade between halves. Lift up out of the way which is restricted by fabric cover.
It isn't just the power consumed from the starter motor on the stop / start - don't forget all your other ancillaries are still running (dashboard / lights / wipers / blowers etc etc) - These will easily add up to as much as it takes to start the engine over say 20-30 seconds of use.

Stop the vehicle, turn off the engine, and check the tyres and their pressure. If necessary, adjust the pressure in the relevant tyre or replace the wheel. A fault has occurred in the tyre pressure monitoring system. Stop the vehicle, turn off the ignition and restart the engine. If the warning light flashes again on starting

This as many know is liable to happen just as moving off from the traffic lights or when entering roundabout.
I think the button you are refering to is the air sensor reset button. basically if there is a change in air pressure in the tyres the dashboard will show a warning light. hold that button in for 5 to 10 seconds and it shall reset the air pressure sensor. and the light shall go off untill the air pressure changes again. you may need to use it
